Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an internationally renowned NGO.  You will be part of a global media
team, working with colleagues in our offices in China, India, the US, Hong Kong, Australia and Belgium. As part of
your duties, you will be contributing to the development and successful implementation of the comms strategy
on  a range of top-tier international events, liaising with the comms teams of our partners which include  major
international organizations, international government and business leaders as well a series of top-tier corporate
members.  You will be based in Central London with the opportunity for international travel, including Rio de
Janeiro in June 2012 and New York in September.   
Person Specification:  

Essential
o Two years in PR, either agency or in-house.
o Currently at executive/senior account executive or press officer level.
o Track record of successfully pitching stories to the media.
o Ability to spot what is (or isn’t) a newsworthy story.
o Very good written skills.
o Able to work at speed to meet short media deadlines.
o Sufficiently and appropriately confident enough to work with journalists and partners.
o Able to add measurable value to our media operations.
o A mature professional approach.
o Able to work relatively unsupervised and able to identify when to seek direction.
o An empathy with our mission and values.  

Desirable.
o An appropriate professional qualification, such as CIPR.
o An appreciation of cultural sensitivities.
o Experience of working with international media and/or on top-tier events, involving a number of
partners.
o Foreign languages.

Up to £30k.
