The Soil Association depends on effective communications with a wide range of media partners. We work with them to promote organic principles, amplify our policy and campaigns, and protect our reputation, brand and values.

The Press Office Manager is a critical role for ensuring that we get these relationships right. Working across the organisation, we need an outstanding communicator who can maintain strong links with journalists; has the credibility to brief on policy and campaigning priorities; and the confidence to hone our messages and mission for a wide variety of audiences.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of dealing with the media. Experience of developing and disseminating media strategies, along with the ability to work on own initiative and under pressure are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy and word-processing skills are also required.
