ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Conservation Practitioner I participates in preserve operations, maintenance and management.  This may include one or more of the following functions:
• Maintains preserve areas frequented by the visiting public
• Removes exotic species
• Maintains tools and equipment
• Opens and closes preserve to the visiting public
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to operate various types of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to follow instructions from colleagues.
• Ability to perform physical work, sometime under adverse conditions or in inclement weather.
ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
This position is part-time (2 days per week) mid June through mid August. The project area is located in southeast Wisconsin in the Mukwonago River Watershed.

The Conservation Practitioner I may work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances.
These conditions:
• Require considerable physical exertion and/or muscular strain.
• Require long days in remote locations.
