Description

Based in our agricultural office at Pond Farm, the core role of the three Practical Volunteer Leaders within our newly created Estate Team is to engage with and lead the Trust’s volunteers in order to manage required works across the countryside estate in line with approved management plans and in order to meet our statutory and contractual obligations.

Although the exact roles within the new Estate Team are under consultation, we can envisage how it is likely to function and how each of the roles will contribute to its operation. 

If have a passion to educate, enthuse and motivate others; enjoy sharing knowledge and engaging others; excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain the purpose of a task and put it into context for the volunteers so that they can understand their contribution to habitat management and conservation; and practical experience of ecology, access and nature conservation, please go to our website to read the full job profile.

Pond Farm is not readily accessible via public transport so the ability to drive and access to a vehicle is essential although suitable SWT work vehicles will be available. This role will involve some regular weekend working on a rota basis.
