Job title - Practical Engagement Officer. Based in Bridgend.

The Family Employment Initiative is an exciting opportunity for you to be involved in engaging and supporting local people to improve their personal circumstances and local area.

Working in Partnership with Communities 1st, Valleys 2 Coast and Bridgend County Borough Council, the project a precursor to training and employment provides a programme of engagement designed to create supported pathways for individuals and families in targeted areas using many different techniques.

Fixed Contract to March 2012

Working with local people and communities in the Marlas and Windmill areas, you will plan, organise and deliver activities and projects that give people practical hands-on experience and therefore improve their employment prospects.

To suceed you should have experience of organising and delivering volunteer work and training programmes and possess excellent communication skills.

Experience of achieving funders targets and a working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
