Description

WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive. Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’re also committed to safeguarding the natural world through tackling the global threat of climate change. And by helping people to change the way they live, to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF has a strategic partnership (Partnership Programme Arrangement) with the Department for International Development (DFID) that addresses the environmental imperative underpinning poverty reduction and sustainable development.  WWF is the global environmental organization that makes an essential contribution to UK and international sustainable development.  Our activities in this critical area include developing good practice that underpins sustainable use of natural resources and livelihoods.  We support civil society to advocate for better governance of the natural systems they are so dependent on and promote these poverty-environment links in national and international development dialogues.

We are now looking for a PPA Reporting Manager to ensure we achieve all that we have agreed with DFID.  The PPA Reporting Manager will manage PPA reporting and evaluation processes and provide technical support and expertise to WWF-UK’s PPA programmes. This will involve a significant amount of co-ordination across teams, establishing links with DFID and other strategic partners, and ensuring specific additional in-house and external support is deployed to develop programme capacity in relation to monitoring and evaluation, livelihoods, civil society voices in natural resource governance, field-policy linkages, and sustainability in systems.

Educated to graduate level, with substantial experience in natural resource management programmes and policy in developing countries, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the links between environment and poverty reduction and the political dimensions of development.  Excellent monitoring and evaluation, interpersonal and organizational skills will be essential in developing a wide range of working relationships.  Occasional overseas travel may be required.
