LOCATION: Millbrook, NY

DURATION: Full -time position, starting ASAP, for a 1.5+year term

DUTIES: We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate to join a new collaborative, graduate training project—The GLEON Graduate Student Fellows Program.  The GGSFP will engage diverse graduate students and researchers from multiple disciplines, as well as the Global Lake Ecological Observatory Network (GLEON). The program's primary goal is to train two cohorts of graduate students in network science: the mechanics of handling and synthesizing high frequency data as well as tools for conducting network science across cultures. It is anticipated that the postdoctoral associate will lead research and subsequent publication(s) on an aspect of this work commensurate with interests and experience. The individual will work with Principal Investigators Drs. K. Weathers (Cary Institute), and P. Hanson (University of Wisconsin, Madison)  Another primary responsibility of the Postdoctoral Associate will be to help design and lead—along with domain experts, and an advisory team—graduate student collaboratories. 

QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in ecosystem science, information or team science, science education, or related interdisciplinary area; excellent communication (oral and written) and facilitation skills; enthusiasm for analysis and interpretation of high frequency data and/or organizational psychology; some computer programming experience, such as in MATLAB, is a plus but not required.
