The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado is the nation’s primary laboratory for research,development and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL’s Energy Analysis Center has an 
immediate opening for a full time Postdoctoral Researcher. This position will report to senior staff for work delivery and performance. Position will support offshore wind energy technology analysis. Supports analysis activities and performs required work under supervision. Research Associate level with 4 years of experience may also be considered.
Supports analysis of wind technology and systems, including:

•Applying basic technology analysis skills and methods to help solve and analyze problems
•Supporting the development and application of analytical approaches and models to determine the economic benefits of technology innovation for offshore wind turbine designs and to evaluate the 
economic competitiveness of wind technologies, including those for use offshore.
•Collecting and organizing cost, performance, and market data for improvement of electric system model assumptions.
•Providing literature searches and surveys relevant to analytical activities

Provides reports on support work; provides input to technical publications and presentations. 

Follows all ES&H policies and procedures to ensure and maintain a safe working environment.
Must be a recent Ph.D. graduate with in the last three years.
PhD in in economics, engineering or other relevant field. Familiarity with wind energy technology, demonstrated experience in the analysis of the economic feasibility of wind turbine and system design, understanding of market analysis. Previous experience in technology, market, and policy analysis, cash flow analysis, cost model scenario analysis, and technical publications desired.
