Postdoc on Crayfish

Mission :

In the framework of our new Louisiana Crayfish (Procambarus clarkii) project in Camargue, we propose a 24 months post-doc contract, in order to assess the impact of Procambarus clarkii on the Camargue ecosystems and to propose possible courses of action for controlling it.

Profil :

• PhD in Biological sciences
• Strong experience in developing statistics or modelling (population dynamics, habitat, foot webs) characterising the reactions at the population or food chain levels.
• Aptitude to publish in international journals.
• Proficient command of English and French, both written and oral is imperative.
• Other Mediterranean languages would be a bonus.
• A good knowledge on wetlands and Louisiana Crayfish are a bonus.

Durée :

24 months contract.

Complementary information :

2500 € gross salary, management level, level 7 on the collective convention salary scale for CCNA used by the Tour du Valat.

Position available immediately.

The position is base in our research centre in the heart of the Camargue, France (Tour du Valat, Le Sambuc 13 200 Arles. Frequent travel will be necessary.
