Post-doc in the Field of Solar Energy (Materials for Thermal Energy Storage)

CIC Energigune is a new energy research centre based in the Basque Country of Spain.  Its mission is to play a leading role on the international stage in the field of energy storage technologies and contribute to the industrial competitiveness of Basque Country.  CIC has a world-class research facility, cutting-edge equipments, an experienced management team, and a scientific committee composed of prominent scientists, entrepreneurs, and industrial experts.

We are now inviting applications for a Post-Doc position in the area of High and Medium Temperature Thermal Energy Storage. The work will be carried out within a project related to thermal energy storage materials for high temperature applications.

What we offer

We are offering a 24-36 months position within a project of the duration of 3-5 years. The research work will focus on the synthesis and characterization of novel materials for thermal energy storage. The candidate will be part of a research team formed by six doctors, two PhD students and one technician.

What we need

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background on materials synthesis and characterization. Knowledge of characterization techniques such as DSC, TG, X-ray and SEM is required. Good English, talent, enthusiasm for research and capability to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment are also expected.
