Description

Under the supervision of the Senior Policy Manager, the Policy Officer will be responsible of performing the following tasks:

o Coordinate the delivery of tasks part of relevant projects on sustainable agriculture, liaising with relevant stakeholders to provide inputs for deliverables as required;
o Collection and analysis of existing information on the current and potential use of key sustainable agriculture concepts, coordinating relevant experts’ input and organizing workshops and discussions with relevant experts and stakeholders;
o Elaboration of documents, reports, articles as needed, based on the ongoing analysis of relevant knowledge, adapted to the audiences;
o Initiation, promotion and active support of opportunities for joint discussions among agriculture and environmental actors at EU level;
o Develop and maintain collaboration and liaison with relevant stakeholders, EU Institutions, IUCN Members and partners across Europe and represent IUCN at external events;
o Organisation and assistance with the preparation of events and workshops;
o Follow closely EU -and in some cases international- policy developments related to agriculture and pollinators protection, getting involved in relevant processes when needed;
o Lead the development of briefings and communication materials, such as webstories, presentations, project brochures, newsletters and webinars, for specialist and non-specialist audiences;
o Responsible for technical reporting and administrative management of projects;
o Relevant tasks in support of related IUCN work as needed.
