We are looking for an energetic and motivated person to join the Land Division. To be successful in this role you must have strong problem solving capabilities and be able to work as a team member in a complex environment.
As a senior policy officer or policy officer in the Land Division you will:
1. Contribute to the production of the land aspects of the Australia’s National Greenhouse Accounts and maintenance and development of the FullCAM model. 2. Contribute to the provision of technical and policy advice on measurement issues related to land sector projects under the Carbon Farming Initiative. 3. Under supervision, manage projects including consultancies to deliver agreed outcomes in a timely manner. 4. Provide effective communication of relevant issues, including through written material and representation with stakeholders. 5. Contribute to the achievement of agreed team business goals, as required. 6. Contribute to team development, with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and self-development, and the principles and practices of Workplace Participation, Workplace Diversity and Work Health and Safety in decision-making processes.
To be successful in these roles candidates will need to be flexible and resilient, have a capacity to build and maintain relationships and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
Eligibility This position is a security assessed position. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a security assessment to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance. Notes Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and/or experience is highly desirable. Experience in areas such as forestry, climate change, agriculture or science is an advantage.
