Policy Communications Manager

Salary:   From £40,484 - £46,897 per annum inclusive, with potential to progress

to £52,751 per annum inclusive.  

Status: Fixed term, initially for two years

The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment was established at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2008. The Institute brings together international expertise on economics, as well as finance, geography, the environment, international development and political economy, to establish a world-leading centre for policy-relevant research, teaching and training on climate change and the environment.

We are seeking a highly-motivated professional to play a leading role in increasing the impact of the work of the Institute through our engagement with decision-makers in the public, private and third sectors, in the UK and abroad.  Candidates would be expected to have an excellent understanding and knowledge of social science issues relating to UK and international climate change policy, experience of managing relationships and networks with decision-makers in the public, private and third sectors and outstanding communications and networking skills including experience of producing and writing high–quality reports and other publications.  The post will involve carrying out tasks outside normal office hours and some national and international travel.
