We also run development programmes in some of the poorest countries in the world, and campaign in the UK and internationally to bring about trade justice.

About The Job

We are looking for a Policy Adviser to join our London-based Policy Unit. This is a new role in the small but dynamic team which spearheads our research, lobbying and campaigning.

We want to expand our current portfolio of work on corporate accountability and trade policy by developing a new area. You will lobby for more pro-poor aid for trade programmes using Traidcraft’s direct experience of supporting producer groups in the South. You will also help is to make sure that fair trade is as effective as possible and will help to develop and deliver Traidcraft’s political and parliamentary strategy.

Qualifications/ Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have recent and relevant experience of policy analysis and a strong track record of developing political or parliamentary strategies. You will be an excellent communicator with experience of working closely with campaigns staff and within global coalitions.

Due to the nature of the funding for this role, it is initially offered on a 12 month fixed-term basis.
