Policy & Advice Officer - Aquaculture

Starting salary £23,839 

37 Hours per week

Fixed term post until 31st March 2012

Location: Inverness

(Ref: 052-312)

You will prepare and provide advice on the impacts of aquaculture on the natural heritage, responding to requests for advice on aquaculture consultations from area staff, Scottish Government and other regulators or agencies. You will further Scottish Natural Heritage’s work helping to support a sustainable aquaculture industry inScotland.

You must have a sound understanding of the Scottish Aquaculture Industry, marine ecology of habitats and species and their conservation. You must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to produce authoritative summaries of issues from a range of sources. You should have the ability to work unsupervised and on your own initiative.
