Policy & Advice Greenspace Officer

37 hours a week fixed term until 31st August 2014

Salary scale £23,839 to £31,586 per annum

Location: Clydebank, Stirling or Battleby, Perth

(Ref: 056-340) 

This post will develop and support implementation of SNH’s agenda for openspace, green infrastructure and green networks. The post holder will provide advice and resources to staff and Local Authorities, maintaining a policy overview and working with partners. 

You must have a relevant degree or equivalent in natural heritage, ecology, landscape, planning or similar discipline with an understanding of the policy context supporting green infrastructure and green networks. You must also have good skills in policy development, analysis, evaluation and review, with experience of analysis and evaluation of natural heritage data. Finally, you must have experience in carrying out or commissioning research projects, with good communication skills, and the ability to influence.
