Essential Responsibilities |
- Accountable for functional, business, broad company objectives, and financial planning to facilitate the overall business strategy using lean / continuous improvement as the methodology and underlying process - Drive excellent Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), plant safety and environmental programs and processes, to meet or exceed goals - Responsible for meeting varied customer delivery requirements and striving for customer delight - Continue to attract, retain and develop the talent needed for superior performance - Responsible for implementation of quality improvement processes and the quality system which drives customer facing results in product infancy, reliability and internal yield performance - Foster and enhance the lean culture utilizing Heijunka, Just-in-Time (JIT) and Jidoka principles resulting in continually improved performance in tact time attainment, cycle reduction, and improved flexibility for mix - Lead / provide resource, support and drive cost productivity projects which support the labor, design and sourcing cost strategies - Manage the resource to achieve cost performance expectations with an operating budget - Drive year over year improvement in inventory turns and asset management through cycle reduction and implementation of Lean principles - Integrate closely with Engineering and Sourcing to provide cross-functional integration necessary for effective New Product Introduction (NPI), cost out strategies, and execution / security of supply - Partner with the overall Erie site to drive growth and change in a fast-moving, high-energy environment |
