Job Title:       Planning and Policy Officer 

Part-time post offered in the first instance on a two-year fixed term contract, renewable annually subject to the availability of funding. 

Closing Date:           Mid-day on Thursday 30th January 2014

Interview Date:        Monday 11th February 2014

Salary Range:          Points 15 -21

                                        (£25,071 - £29,746 pro-rata) 

Based at Tyland Barn, Maidstone 

The post: To prepare the Trust’s input on strategic land-use planning and policy and other major planning issues. 

You will use your knowledge and experience of the planning process and strong negotiating skills to help Kent Wildlife Trust contribute to a sustainable future for Kent and Medway, in which a healthy, properly functioning natural environment is the foundation of sustainable economic growth, prospering communities and personal wellbeing.  

You will bring to the role an understanding of wildlife and the impacts of development, both positive and negative, on habitats and species.
