Description

The Global Economic Dynamics and the Biosphere (GEDB) is now hiring a PhD student to work on examining how supply chains can improve fisheries sustainability globally, within the scope of the project “Supply chain strategies for transforming to sustainable fisheries” (2017–2020). The student will be employed at GEDB, Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences but be formally admitted to the PhD program in Sustainability Science through the Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC).

The PhD student will analyze strategies that lead to more sustainable use of wild marine resources in specific cultural/political contexts, analyze the process of how, at different levels in the supply chain, actors use strategic agency to achieve sustainable fisheries, and examine which relationship types, at various segments of the supply chain, are most important in creating incentives for enduring change.

Deadline: 30 November 2016
