A PhD Research opportunity
in agricultural greenhouse gas mitigation

Agricultural greenhouse gas emissions make up almost half of New Zealand’s total emissions, a situation unique in the developed world. As a nation we are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and have embarked on an ambitious research and innovation programme to develop technologies to reduce emissions from the agricultural sector. The newly establishment New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre (NZAGRC) will build on our well established reputation in this field of research and provide you the opportunity to develop your research career in a dynamic and rapidly changing area. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical research role in what is an internationally significant emissions reduction initiative.
The NZAGRC is a partnership comprising nine of New Zealand’s leading research organisations. Significant new investment in science infrastructure means access to leading-edge research facilities and resources and the opportunity to work alongside some of New Zealand’s leading researchers. What’s more, our funding is guaranteed for the next decade, so the latitude to deliver practical, cost effective technologies and practices is unparalleled. If you want to share in tackling one of the world’s most significant scientific challenges and advance your career in the process, the NZAGRC is excited to offer the following PhD opportunity to become involved in our research programmes.
