Your key focus will be to enable stakeholders to derive maximum benefits from opportunities created through the Park and to improve the participation of local communities, thereby promoting a national conservation ethic. This will include facilitating environmental education programmes in neighbouring community schools, promoting SANPark’s image to internal and external clients, liaising with community based interest groups and NGOs, identifying research needs and facilitating cultural and indigenous knowledge programmes in the business unit.
Candidates must hold a degree or equivalent in Social Sciences and have at least 3 years’ experience in environmental education and training and 2 years’ experience in management. Proficiency in English and Afrikaans, computer literacy in MS Office packages and possession of a valid Code 08 driver’s licence are also essential.
