Description

We are seeking a Partner Development Officer for the Balkans, Ukraine, Baltic states, for our European Division. The post, based in Ljubljana and co-managed by DOPPS (BirdLife in Slovenia), will support identified organisations to develop and strengthen from an institutional, organisational and conservation point of view, ultimately achieving organisational self-sufficiency.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years working experience and relevant university degree with good knowledge and relevant experience in organisational development, especially in the field of birds, biodiversity and nature.

She/he will be familiar with the regions, have a good knowledge of conservation issues and priorities, fundraising and campaigning experience.  Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages of the region, good interpersonal and team working skills, & willingness to travel extensively in Europe are essential.
Reporting to the Regional Director of the European Division and to the Director of DOPPS, you will work closely with Staff from BirdLife Partners and the headquarters in Cambridge (UK).  

Salary: around 1570 EUR per month gross, depending on experience
Duration of contract: 24 months

Expected interview date:  5th March 2010. Starting date would be ideally on the 22nd March 2010.
