The Captive Animals' Protection Society (CAPS) is a Manchester-based charity that has been leading the campaign to end the use of animals in entertainment for over 50 years. We are currently seeking a creative and energetic Individual Fundraising Officer to join our team in order to maximise income from individual donors and develop our membership scheme. Working to end the use of animals in circuses, zoos and the exotic pet trade, our focus is on an effective combination of local, national and international campaigning, political lobbying, research and undercover investigations and the production of reports and campaign materials. Our operation is underpinned by an effective fundraising programme, which you will develop and deliver. Commitment to the work of CAPS and support for the general philosophy of animal rights is essential. You will have previous fundraising experience, with particular focus on individual donor development and appeal-based fundraising; as well as a demonstrable track record of effective income generation. A keen communicator with a creative flair, you will be the first point of call for our valued supporters and have a strong understanding of how to design, develop and deliver effective appeal-based fundraising campaigns. As part of a small team, you will work closely with the Director and the Campaigns Team; consistently meeting deadlines and adhering to budgets. Salary will depend on experience. The role is part-time 3 days a week (22.5 hours per week). Vegetarian or vegan preferred. |
