BirdLife International Global Seabird Programme in partnership with the Namibian Nature Foundation and the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources has an Advocacy position with the Albatross Task Force (ATF) to offer to a suitably qualified Namibian citizen. The post is based in Walvis Bay / Swakopmund.

Requirements

  • Degree (preferably Honours) in natural sciences or environmental policy / law
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Excellent report-writing skills
  • Demonstrable ability to network within industry and government at high level
  • Experience in strategy development
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision

The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of Afrikaans, while Spanish and/or Portuguese would be an added advantage.

The position reports to the NNF Director, and will work closely with the ATF Senior Instructor.
