Parks Community Engagement Officer

We are looking for a dynamic and engaging individual who has energy, ideas and a passion for supporting the community. We need someone who can provide guidance, support and develop collaborative working opportunities, going the extra mile to help our partners and the community.

Redbridge contains more publicly accessible green space than nearly all other London boroughs. Here at Vision we pride ourselves on managing, developing and striving to continually improve our parks and open spaces. Joining a highly motivated team, you will have a passion for parks and experience of working with community groups and volunteers to activate and improve our green spaces for all.

You will be a team player, with strong self - motivation and the ability to support and engage colleagues. As a member of the Operations Team, you will work to facilitate participation by our Friends of Parks Groups, develop and deliver action days and also engage and establish more friends / community groups in parks.

The role is 24 hours per week including evening and weekend working. You will be expected to travel around Redbridge visiting sites and meet the community on a regular basis.
