Description

The Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) is receiving ongoing financial assistance from the World Bank for the Pacific Islands Regional Oceanscape Program (PROP). The regional component of the program is implemented by FFA in collaboration with other regional agencies. 

FFA is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support this Program. The Project Coordinator, based in Honiara, will be responsible for undertaking the following-:

 - Management and implementation of project activities,

 - Monitoring and evaluation, 

- Project planning and reporting. 

The successful candidate will ensure that project implementation and reporting is in accordance with the Legal Agreements between FFA and the World Bank, and all relevant World Bank procedures. 

 Term and duration of engagement:

The Project Coordinator will be engaged through an Individual Consultant Contract for national consultants from within the Solomon Islands. The successful candidate will work with a full time Project Finance Officer, and report to the Director of Fisheries Development. The consultancy is for a period of 2 years with possibility of extension. 

To be successful in the role:

The candidate must possess a University Degree in fisheries, public adminsitration, project management or other relevant field and must have at least 10 years' experience in management and administration of large donor-funded projects with proven ability to successfully coordinate and manage project work. Remuneration: 

A remuneration package of SBD$260,000.00 per year before tax, plus housing allowance and other benefits.
