Outside Solar Associate
In the Outside Solar Associate Position you will engage with potential customers, educate them, and increase their interest level enough to request an iQuote from Sungevity.com with the goal of being consulted by a solar expert. You will be trained in our Jack London Square Area Oakland office and work and travel from there in your day-to-day duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide sales leads to the Sungevity sales process via an outside lead generation / sales model
- Acquire leads using door to door, public promenade, and other venues as determined
- Educate homeowners about solar and answer general knowledge solar questions
- Travel within the Bay Area
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Google Chrome or Firefox browser
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to speak with members of the public
- A drive to succeed with a positive attitude and high energy
- Willing to be outside and walk for extended periods
- Tenacity and ability to handle rejection
Timing: This position would start full-time (40 hours per week) May 16th, 2012, the week following the end of Spring Semester, with hiring and preliminary training sessions to start in April. Once the fall-semester begins in mid August, high-performing employees may have the option to remain full-time or transition to part-time work.
Compensation: Hourly wage plus commission.
