Description:

3Degrees is a certified B Corporation whose mission is to reduce the magnitude of climate change by accelerating the world's transition to a low-carbon, renewable energy economy. 3Degrees is seeking a dynamic individual to build and manage an outreach team that will grow the demand for residential rooftop solar via person-to-person interactions. The focus of this team is door-to-door prospecting to identify interested homeowners.

The ideal candidate is a stellar communicator, committed to environmental causes and renewable energy, an excellent team leader, and comfortable engaging the general public.

This position requires staff management and sales experience.

Duties:
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of part-time outreach staff members
  • Coordinate door-to-door campaigns
  • Acquire and maintain a deep familiarity and knowledge of rooftop solar technology, incentives, and financing
  • Manage and work within annual outreach budget established in coordination with manager
  • Closely track and analyze the success of outreach efforts in order to meet or exceed established outreach enrollment goals
  • Evaluate and potentially attend community outreach opportunities (including but not limited to community events, festivals, farmers markets, and community gathering locations)
  • Establish relationships with area stores, non-profits, and businesses to support outreach efforts
  • Perform necessary office management and administrative tasks for outreach
Qualifications:
  • Experience in outreach, sales, community organizing, or other related fields
  • Experience hiring, training, and leading a team
  • Outgoing personality with willingness to initiate customer interaction
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fluency in Google Apps and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the sales region
  • Ability to work independently
  • Dedication to sustainability and renewable energy
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
