3Degrees is a certified B Corporation whose mission is to reduce the magnitude of climate change by accelerating the world's transition to a low-carbon, renewable energy economy. 3Degrees is seeking dynamic individuals to join an outreach team that will grow the demand for residential rooftop solar via person-to-person interactions. The focus of this team is door-to-door prospecting to identify interested homeowners.
This is a part-time, up-to-20 hour per week position with a significant percentage of the compensation expected to come from commissions. Training is provided as well as opportunities for advancement.
Duties:
Grow the demand for residential rooftop solar by activating potentially interested homeowners at their doorsteps
Accurately describe and discuss solar power installation with customers, answer customer questions, and keep up-to-date on program information
Potential event outreach work - set up displays, tents, banners, and booths and properly store and maintain all equipment and materials
Accurately track prospective customer information
Meet with manager and attend regular trainings
Qualifications:
Dedication to sustainability and renewable energy
High level of personal integrity – honesty and reliability are a must
Sales, tabling, or canvassing experience preferred
Energetic and motivated team player
Positive, enthusiastic, warm persona
Ability to work evenings & weekends
Access to reliable transportation, computer/personal email account, and internet-capable smart phone
