Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity.  It has more than 37,000 members, manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and 2 nature parks and runs 11 visitor centres.  The aim of Essex Wildlife Trust is to Protect Wildlife for the Future and for the People of Essex.  It is supported financially by members, local businesses and grant making organisations.  It is one of the largest of the 46 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts.

We are looking for a Forest School Level 3 trained Outdoor Learning Officer to plan and deliver sessions out at schools; support education officers at busy times at centres in South Essex. You will also be planning and running regular events and birthday parties on weekends and during school holidays one day a week at Thorndon Country Park. This role will be based at Thorndon Country Park with extensive travel mainly in the South Essex area.

We work with school groups from Early Years to A level delivering interesting and engaging outdoor education; we offer Forest School sessions; we run popular outdoor themed birthday parties and we run exciting and varied events for a wide range of audiences. If you think you have the skills and knowledge we are looking for we can’t wait to hear from you.
