Food & Water Watch is a leading national consumer advocacy organization that runs dynamic, cutting edge campaigns challenging the corporate control and abuse of our food and water resources. Since 2005, we have won significant victories to protect our food and water. Our work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post and other major media outlets. We seek an Organizer to join our team of experienced campaigners, researchers, and lobbyists. The Organizer works to develop and implement legislative, field organizing, and media strategies and campaigns in support of Food & Water Watch campaigns in the South. The Organizer will report to the Region Director. Food & Water Watch is headquartered in Washington DC, with a Western hub in San Francisco, and nine other field offices in the United States. This position will be located in a yet to be determined location in North Carolina. While this position will work on all Food & Water Watch issues in North Carolina and other Southern states, a significant portion of the position will be dedicated to working on a campaign to stop pollution caused by Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs or factory farms) in North Carolina.
