Operations Team: Business Development and Marketing Manager

As part of our Operations team, this role is key in leading and developing our income generation. Currently we have an onsite shop, a wholefood café and shop in town, a mail order department and a busy onsite restaurant plus events at WISE (Wales Institute for Sustainable Education). We’re looking for someone who is energetic and creative about generating income to fund our charitable activities with sustainability at the heart of our mission. Full-time.  Closing date 10/6/11.

The Centre for Alternative Technology is a living laboratory for sustainable practices.

As part of our Operations team, this role is key in leading and co-ordinating our trading and marketing activities to increase our income generation which in turn supports our charitable activities. The areas include our Marketing services, Visitor centre, an onsite Shop and Mail order service, Consultancy, Restaurant, Events and a Wholefood Café and Shop in town.

The role is a varied and exciting one with lots of potential for development for someone with a good head for business who is energetic and enthusiastic about generating income to fund our charitable activities with sustainability at the heart of our mission.
