SNH is looking for an enthusiastic individual to work as part of a team of 30 staff delivering SNHs role in Strathclyde & Ayrshire. You will provide natural heritage advice on development including renewables and environmental impact assessments. You will also advise on protected species, such as bats, and work to maintain and enhance the condition of designated sites such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Protection Areas (SPA).
You'll combine the field skills of a naturalist with a good understanding of planning and environmental legislation, and good communication skills. You will be qualified to degree level in a subject such as ecology, geography, geology or environmental science. Experience of team and partnership working is desirable. This is a permanent contract for a full-time post at 37 hours per week.
