Operations Director for Garden Organic

Garden Organic is seeking an Operations Director to lead, develop and deliver all operational activities in order to achieve our ambition of using sustainable gardening and horticulture as a catalyst for sustainable development.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this role is a unique opportunity to join a well respected organisation with an exciting future.

As part of the charity's Senior Management Team and Director for one of the three strategic organisational teams (Operations; Development; Resources) the post-holder will use his/her expertise and experience to ensure the charity drives our operational activity forward, growing our work successfully. You will be responsible for a £2m budget and c. 30 staff, delivering a complex range of different operational programmes, from Research and Innovation through to contracted commissions with Local Authorities.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience at senior management team level, with proven examples of managing significant and complex operational functions. He/she will be able to demonstrate how they have created innovative operational programmes and turned them into successful, sustainable activities.
