Job Title: Operations Assistant, Washington D.C. Department: Conservation/WDC Reports To: Washington Operations Manager Context: Coordinates a wide variety of administrative operations functions for the Washington, DC office. Scope: The Washington Operations Assistant has specific responsibilities that relate to the overall administrative operations of the Washington, DC office. Provides program, issue and administrative support functions for public education, legislative and political programs while overseeing the reception/lobby area for visitors and staff. Provides substantive administrative support to the Associate Director of National Campaigns, National Field Organizing Director, Director for Conservation Program Effectiveness and the Washington Operations Manager. Provides general administrative support to the Washington, DC office. Job Activities:
Knowledge & Skills: -- Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. -- Excellent writing and editing skills. -- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills. -- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in fast paced office. -- Ability to interact cooperatively and effectively with public, staff and volunteers. -- Demonstrated proficiency with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel) and financial management software (Quickbooks). -- Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive and confidential information and communication and to use tact and diplomacy in dealing with these matters. -- Must be able to:
