Purpose: We are seeking an energetic and positive Operations / Office Manager to join a highly motivated national and international nonprofit team. This position reports to the Operations Director. We are a medium sized nonprofit with a fast-moving and dynamic environment and we seek someone entrepreneurial, self-directed, highly organized and experienced. Duties: The role will include but will not be limited to: ? Developing and managing the New York administrative budget; ? Ensuring the organization complies with employee benefit and employer insurance program regulations. Incumbent is responsible for interpreting requirements in law and regulation, developing policies, and designing procedures that ensure compliance; ? Managing induction of new employees and departing employee exit process; ? Ensuring availability of administrative support services for the organization; and, ? Managing external relationships related to these responsibilities including payroll service providers, employee benefit and employer insurance brokers and administrators, and office service providers. Skills and experience: ? General knowledge of employment regulations including but not limited to Fair Labor Standards Act, Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and health insurance continuation provisions of COBRA; ? Negotiation and budgeting skills; ? Communication skills to address employee inquiries and concerns; ? Analytical skills to synthesize complex information; ? Problem solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner. ? Five years experience in office administration or office management; ?
