Through a partnership between the Administration of National Conservation Areas in Mozambique (ANAC) and PPF, applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following positions for the Zinave National Park (an integral part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park).  An initial two-year contract will be awarded to the successful candidates who will be based in Zinave National Park. Project Manager - Zinave National Park The contract could be extended for a further two years.

As Operational Manager, specific key performance areas will include: Reserve Management Support: • Law Enforcement Support: * Work hand in hand with the Law Enforcement Officer to ensure the implementation of an effective anti-poaching programme for the whole reserve • Fire Management: * Design a functional fire break system for Zinave, including around infrastructure * Develop a Fire Management Plan to prevent or reduce excessive hot and damaging fires • Road and Fence Maintenance: * Assist with the routing of roads to avoid sensitive areas to minimise environmental damage * Ensure that the sanctuary fence is functional and cleared of vegetation through the application of herbicide annually • Infrastructure Development: * Work hand in hand with the Park Infrastructure Manager/Foreman to ensure effective management and implementation of Park infrastructure development and maintenance projects. Ecological Services: Assist with the implementation of the following ecological services: • Research & Monitoring: * Establish fixed photo point and transects sites in all the major plant communities in the reserve * Inventories on biodiversity * Record information on SMART data collection • Alien Invasive Plant (AIP) Strategy: * Map the presence and distribution of alien invasive plant species in the reserve • Administration: * Oversee the deployment, operations and maintenance of all field equipment and machinery such as tractor and trailer, truck, etc * Manage the expenditure of the field operational budget.
