Operational Excellence Manager

CreditNature specialise in technology-empowered nature restoration for people, planet and progress. We have significant experience working at the intersection of nature recovery, technology and finance and aim to make rewilding commercially viable and accelerate the vision of a recoverable earth within our lifetime.

Our innovation team has developed and tested a suite of new products and services that enable the emergence of markets, we are looking for an energetic, proactive, highly organised, tenacious and commercially minded individual, to help develop our business operations to ensure maximum efficiency.

Whilst the successful candidate will be working to deliver a component of a broader business strategy, they will need to be self-motivated and have the drive, energy and flexibility to develop practical solutions to the day-to-day business operations. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate clear examples of where they have implemented creative, agile, operational practice successfully in previous employment. As CreditNature is a start-up business, you will need bags of energy and a hands-on approach!

The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge and interest in the emerging green finance and fintech sector and knowledge of the rewilding sector, although this is not essential.  

Purpose

You will be responsible for ensuring and delivering operational excellence within CreditNature. This role will have varying day to day tasks and duties, so well-rounded business acumen and attention to detail is essential.

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables

Working with members of the innovation team to:

  • Support general efforts to improve, develop and implement organisational and operational and project management systems. 
  • Explore and deliver new ways to improve efficiencies, promote continuous improvement, reduce waste, and ensure exceptional customer service.

You will be able to apply your previous experience and create excellent operational standards within the business by:

  • Creating streamlined and agile working practice, including tech sprints
  • Deliver adaptable ways of working/ SOPs
  • Creating and maintaining a streamlined working environment across multiple platforms and information/data types.
  • Coordinate teamwork and milestone delivery by teams involving directly employed colleagues, external consultants and sub-contractors and pro-bono inputs
  • Create general operational structure and process relating to HR, Business Support, IT, Finance etc
  • Support the CreditNature Team with event planning, logistical support, practical planning and implementation.
  • Organise and co-ordinate large scale events, conference presentations and smaller scale presentations to investors.
  • Be the first point of call for general office/operational communications.
  • Work closely with our Innovation, HR and Support teams to deliver the day to day running of the company.
  • Be able to set and work within operational budgets.
  • Undertake general operational duties as directed by Credit Nature SLT members.

Experience

Essential

  • You will be preferably qualified to degree level (or equivalent level) within a technology/business management-based subject.
  • Demonstrate applied experience in the above areas from previous employment in a similar role.
  • Be an enthusiastic, tenacious, highly organised individual.
  • Good commercial acumen with a working knowledge of budgets and business-planning. 

Desirable

  • Enthusiasm for rewilding and data science and experience of conservation policy, sustainable finance, and changes in the land economy. 

Qualifications

Essential

  • Relevant degree level qualification
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.

Desirable

  • Experience of working within an innovation team.

Overview:

Salary:  £30,000-40,000

Job Type: Full time
