Onshore Wind Project Manager, Madrid, Spain

My client is a leading international developer of onshore wind farms, with substantial success in the development of wind farms throughout Europe and Spain. They are currently looking to bring on board an experienced Project Manager who will be able to contribute to the continued success of the company.

Core Criteria:

The successful Project Manager will need to deliver high standards within the environmental field and display exceptional people skills in supporting, leading and developing within the project delivery team, reporting to the Director of Business and helping support the project management and project engineering teams. A great commercial awareness is required in order to support to the business development of my client’s current accounts along with developing new opportunities, with the highest level of technical expertise in project management required on a day to day basis.  

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Leading a project management team
• ·         Providing technical support to engineers and contractors across the offshore wind farm projects in order to perform to the highest standard and ensure your growth within the company
• ·         Offering support to existing clients and expanding the business to new opportunities
• ·         Taking on a senior role in motivating and mentoring those working on the renewable energy project.
• ·         Performing as a leader and manage teams
• ·         Reporting effectively to the Director of Business, providing the most accurate account of the projects performance and their ability to be undertaken with in the budget and time frames provided

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong academic background with a relevant degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering

Core Requirements:-

• ·         A strong background working in the onshore energy market with experience in wind projects
• ·         3+ years of extensive project management experience
• ·         Experience of managing both external and internal stakeholders
• ·         A good level of commercial awareness within the industry
• ·         A strong background working in the offshore energy market with experience in wind projects
• ·         A broad understanding of the commercial renewable energy markets
• ·         Fluency in Spanish is essential

General Requirements:-

• A good understanding of other sectors of the renewable industry and their environmental impact
• A keen interest in the offshore wind market
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality results
