Onshore Project Manager, Madrid, Spain

My client is a leading global developer of onshore windfarms throughout Europe and the USA, currently looking to bring on board an experienced Onshore Project Manager to be based in Spain who will be able to contribute to the continued growth and success of the company.

Position Overview:

The project manager will need to deliver high standards within the environmental field and display exceptional people skills in supporting, leading and developing within the project delivery team whilst helping support both the project management and project engineering teams. Reporting to the Director of Operations, a great commercial awareness is required in order to support to the business development of my client’s current accounts along with developing new opportunities, with the highest level of technical expertise in project management required on a day to day basis.  

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Providing support to the project management team
• ·         Providing technical support to engineers and contractors across the wind farm project in order to perform to the highest standard and ensure your growth within the company
• ·         Taking on a senior role in motivating and mentoring those working on the renewable energy project
• ·         Leading a team of project managers across my clients projects
• ·         Offering support to existing clients and expanding the business to new opportunities
• ·         Performing as a leader and managing teams
• ·         Reporting effectively and providing the most accurate account of the projects performance and their ability to be undertaken with in the budget and time frames provided

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong academic background with a relevant degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering

Core Requirements:-

• ·         A strong background working in the onshore energy market
• ·         3+ years of extensive project management experience
• ·         At least 3 years experience in the wind sector
• ·         Experience of managing both external and internal stakeholders
• ·         A good level of commercial awareness within the industry
• ·         A strong background working in the onshore energy market with experience in wind projects
• ·         A broad understanding of the commercial renewable energy markets

General Requirements:-

• A good understanding of other sectors of the renewable industry and their environmental impact

Key Skills:-

Onshore wind, communication skills, mechanical or electrical or civil engineer, project management, technical management
