Consent and Stakeholder Manager- Offshore Wind Farms- Reading, UK

£30-60k depending on experience

Our client is a consortium of four leading European energy companies that was created in 2008 to deliver a safe and financially viable wind farm project of up to 13 GW of the east cost of Yorkshire in agreement with the government.

They currently have an excellent opportunity for a consent & stakeholder manager to join the development team to take projects through the development consent process. The role will involve the development and optimisation of consenting strategy for particular elements within the project.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for managing all aspects of consents required for the onshore elements of the works including landfill in support of the offshore wind farm. The role will also include working closely with other consent mangers, whose focus is offshore consenting.

The Role

  • Develop and implement consenting strategy
  • Deliver consents for quality assets in line with business objectives
  • Manage the consenting budget for your packages of work
  • Engage/ manage consultants/ advisors to deliver work
  • Understand all relevant regulations in relation to consents
  • Liaise with external stakeholders

Required

  • Minimum 4 years experience in a similar/ related position
  • Understanding of the wind energy consenting process and associated issues
  • Specific experience of offshore wind farm development very beneficial
  • Experienced in managing projects, plans, budgets, and able to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Open to change-and willing to work on different aspects of the programme
