Role Summary/Purpose:
Focal point for GE Transportation wind gearbox and OHV drive systems reliability and quality concerns as defined by our customers. Responsible for making sure GE customers understand our path to reliability issue resolution. Also responsible for consolidation of data and identifying trends of possible latent reliability issues. Will also be responsible for program management of product reliability improvement cutins in the shop on OHV and wind product lines.
Essential Responsibilities
- Increase visibility of quality data on GE Transportation wind gearbox and OHV drive systems - Drive issue resolution of GE Transportation wind gearbox and OHV drive systems quality and - Regular communication with wind gearbox and OHV drive system customers on reliability issues - Create executive presentations to summarize reliability concerns and resolution path - Use Weibull and other statistical measures to identify possible future reliability issues - Work closely with OHV engineering, manufacturing and product management on product reliability cutins. - Coordinate product field testing for reliability improvements
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering - Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with Wind Gearbox and OHV drive system product lines
