The overall aim of this study is to develop recommendations for optimising the installation of foundations and turbines from a cost and health and safety perspective that could be applied as widely as possible across Round 3 wind farms. Specifically, this includes identification of key bottlenecks and health and safety concerns in the installation process, and potential new (credible) technologies that could address them. The study will consider a reference jacket and monopiles as well as different turbine types.
