Offshore Project Manager, Munich, Germany

My client is a world leader within the industry with a huge renewable energy portfolio including wind energy, bioenergy, solar power and hydrogen power. They are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to help expand their development throughout Europe and consolidate their position as a market leader within the wind sector.

Position Overview:

The senior project manager will help support the project management and project engineering teams, leading and developing my clients projects, utilizing the highest level of technical expertise in project management required on a day to day basis. You will need to deliver high standards within the environmental field and display exceptional people skills along with a great commercial awareness in order to support to the business development of my client’s current accounts.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Leading a project management team
• ·         Offering support to existing clients and expanding the business to new opportunities
• ·         Performing as a leader and manage teams
• ·         Reporting effectively and providing the most accurate account of the projects performance and their ability to be undertaken with in the budget and time frames provided
• ·         Providing technical support to engineers and contractors across the wind farm project in order to perform to the highest standard and ensure your growth within the company
• ·         Taking on a senior role in motivating and mentoring those working on the renewable energy project.

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong academic background with a relevant degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering

Core Requirements:-

• ·         A strong background working in the offshore energy market with experience in wind projects
• ·         Experience of managing both external and internal stakeholders
• ·         A broad understanding of the commercial renewable energy markets
• ·         3+ years of extensive project management experience
• ·         A good level of commercial awareness within the industry

General Requirements:-

• A good understanding of other sectors of the renewable industry and their environmental impact
• Chartered MCIOB / MAPM / MRICS/ MICE/ MIMechE or equivalent
• A keen interest in the offshore wind market and a desire to see it progress and be part of its development in the UK
