As part of the exponential growth in offshore renewable energy, RES Offshore is expanding its business in the development, engineering, project management, construction and operation and maintenance of offshore renewable energy projects resulting in the need for additional procurement support.

The Role

Project engineer working on offshore wind/wave and tidal structures. 

This is a full-time permanent position, based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.  The role will include structural analysis and design, package management, management of project design files and project interfaces, and technical trouble-shooting/diagnosis, in the diverse environments of offshore renewables.  Keys tools will include software packages such as Ansys, Matlab or similar.

There will be a need to interface/liaise with Independent Verification Bodies (IVB's) and other consultants/contractors on technical issues, so a broad engineering understanding and ability to communicate complex concepts is required. 

The role will require some travel within the UK and overseas.

The Candidate

Degree qualified with experience in a related engineering field, the candidate will possess knowledge and experience of structural analysis using FE and traditional structural analysis software.  They will have some experience in design and analysis of steel structures. Beneficial would be experience of floating structures, design in concrete, and offshore working.  

Training will be provided in areas where the candidate's skills and knowledge need to be enhanced to meet the needs of the role.
