Job Description
You will be responsible for providing support to the offshore team who are responsible for RES's offshore wind farm development, engineering, and construction activities.
Main Tasks
- EIA preparation; including collating and analysing information or data and managing EIA consultants
- Assist in the preparation of all statutory and non-statutory reports, briefs etc required for the development of these projects
- Communication with key stakeholders (statutory and non-statutory consultees, local planning authorities, local residents etc)
- Arrange consultation meetings
- Assist and take minute's at large meetings (contribution to these meetings would grow as the person develops and gains experience)
- Assist with report writing
- Assessment of key technical documents from internal and external parties
- Maintain the electronic filing system and be responsible for document control
- Provide general administrative support
- Assist the team with budget control and adherence to project programme
Person Specification
Required
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with an environmental science, environmental management, engineering or similar degree.
- An excellent communicator and team-player; you must also be highly numerate, creative and able to develop new solutions to new problems.
- An understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment
- An interest in the development of offshore renewable projects
- Enthusiastic and keen to learn
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to work without close supervision
Highly desirable
A post graduate qualification in renewable energy, EIA or environmental studies
- Previous experience offshore wind experience
