This is an opportunity for a talented individual to join an exciting and complex infrastructure programme. Making Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) a commercial proposition in the 2020’s is a key priority of government, achieving security in energy supply and tackling climate change. The Office of Carbon Capture and Storage (OCCS) was established in March 2010 and sets the strategic direction for CCS and fossil fuel generation, facilitating the delivery of the demonstration programme, creating the policy and support arrangements to stimulate private sector investment, and working with stakeholders to remove barriers to investment and development in the UK and globally. It also looks to maximise the domestic and global opportunities for UK businesses and contribute to growth.
The role advertised is for an experienced commercial manager to lead an expanding commercial team that will be responsible for developing ground-breaking commerical agreements with the energy market. You will be an experienced commercial professional with an in-depth understanding of strategic procurement and supplier management
