Description

The RSPCA, the World’s largest and oldest animal welfare organisation, is looking for an accomplished Office Manager to join the team at the RSPCA Cymru Wales Headquarters in Brecon.

The main responsibilities of the post include:

  • To provide administrative support to the Manager for Wales
  • Management and administration of the office and any services, supply or maintenance requirements
  • Processing mail, invoices, correspondence telephone calls, being the initial contact for any enquiries
  • Establish and manage record keeping systems across the administrative function including diary management
  • Assisting in the planning and supporting local projects or activities, such as meetings, conferences, marketing and fundraising events
  • To co-ordinate current, or new, welfare projects
  • Banking and cash reconciliation
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

The successful applicant should have:

  • Good judgement and the confidence to work under their own initiative without direction
  • Significant experience of administration, office and facilities management, the ability to instigate new systems of work
  • Strong and confident communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Exemplary organisational abilities
  • Considerable computer skills, being competent in the use of spreadsheets, word processing and other key IT packages
  • Experience of invoice processing and cash management
  • Experience of meeting and event management, including minute taking
  • A willingness to be a strong team player working conscientiously within a small team

The role will require occasional weekend or evening working.

The ability to converse in the Welsh language would be a distinct advantage.
