The Humane Society of the United States seeks an Office Manager for its South Florida Wildlife Center in Fort Lauderdale to perform general office, Human Resources, and certain financial administration functions, including those related to:  recruitment, orientation, discipline, termination, worker’s compensation, benefits, employment verifications; staff communications; contracting, and budgeting.  Other duties include developing/managing Standard Operating Procedures and recordkeeping systems; and, preparing reports/analyses.  Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, e.g., finance, human resources, or equivalent experience; five years related work experience; and demonstrated understanding of Human Resources functions and federal/state employment laws.  PHR certification desired.  Competent computer skills, with proficiency in MS office, database, and spreadsheet programs required, as well as interpersonal; communication; analytical; and, organization, time, and project  management skills.
