The Office and Fund Administrator will work closely with the Executive Director, CPAWS staff and volunteers to ensure all general office operations are handled efficiently, grant applications and reports are submitted and tracked in a timely manner, communication between National office and CPAWS SAB is ongoing and transparent, ensure all staff has the required knowledge of CPAWS’ HR policies and office technology and software function as required.   The person in this position is also required to assist, and occasionally lead, grant applications and final reports, and manage donor relations on an ongoing basis. The Office and Fund Administrator will also ensure all permits, property tax exemption, annual society returns and insurance documents are current.  This position will lend support to the conservation, education and community engagement programs as needed.

The successful candidate will be mature, possess a high level of integrity and professionalism, superior organization skills, a moderate understanding of environmental issues in Alberta, fund development experience, excellent communication skills and a passion for nature.  Ideally they will have a completed post-secondary degree in a conservation-related discipline or business administration, have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in office administration and/or fund development and have experience using a donor database.  A valid driver’s license and vehicle is an asset for this position.

Working in the environmental non-profit world is fast-paced and ever changing. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate time management efficiency and prioritization skills to ensure they are adaptable to changing campaigns, and able to prioritize different tasks based on deadlines and organizational priority.

This Calgary-based position will be a 37.5 hour per week position, with flexibility required for some evening and weekend work. The salary will be based on previous experience and skills.
